The vserver modify command enables you to change a virtual server's comment, Name Service Switch setting, or default snapshot policy for new volumes. You cannot use this command to change a virtual server's name or root-volume aggregate; if you need to change one or both of these attributes, you must delete and recreate the virtual server with the new attributes.

The following example changes the comment for a virtual server named vs1 to "Sales access":
